Flower Pot Hanging

Lay two Popsicle sticks parallel to each other flat on a table; use a hot glue gun to glue two more sticks flat on top to form a square.

Continue stacking and gluing sticks until you create a square five sticks tall.

Cut a length of rope or heavy yarn double the distance your planter will hang from the ceiling.

Fold in half and thread the halfway point through the square toward the outside on one corner of the square. Take the ends of the rope and thread through the loop before pulling tight. Do this on all four corners.

Take all four strands and pull them upward together so the rope is taught; tie a knot about half way up.

Knot the ropes once more at the top.

Position a planted pot in the square and hang the planter.

Popsicle Sticks Pot

Using markers, color the popsicle sticks in a variety of colors.

Put a rubber band around the tin can, making sure it’s a snug fit.

Place the popsicle sticks under the rubber band, pushing them together so there are no gaps.

Continue placing popsicle sticks underneath the rubber band all the way around the can. Depending on the size of your can, you’ll need about 25 popsicle sticks to cover the whole thing.

Now to hide the rubber band! Tie a piece of coordinating ribbon around the can, making sure it’s wide enough to cover up the rubber band.

Finally, add a little bit of dirt to the bottom of the can and plant a flower in it.
